Learning Objectives (Part One & Part Two)

Certification
Once exams are sent to EDEXCEL for marking, results are received, normally, within 2 weeks but sometimes up to 4 weeks.  Once results are received, you can then apply for a licence with the SIA.  Processing of the licence application takes approximately 6 weeks.

On successful completion of this training course, each candidate will receive EDEXCEL BTEC accredited certification.
Summary
The course is run over 4 days – 2 days of Roles and Responsibilities (Part One) and 2 days of Conflict Management (Part Two).  There is an exam at the end of day 2 and another at the end of day 4.  Both exams must be passed to get the award.  Both exams are multiple choice.  If you fail one or both, the exam(s) has to be re sat – a good idea to pass first time!
The licence is for any security related activity, whether employed or contracted, in any licensed premises (alcohol licensing act 2003) e.g., bars, clubs, pubs, events, hotels...........
If you are caught working without a licence, it is a criminal offence and can result in up to 6 months in jail or £5K fine for the person involved, plus the same for the person employing/contracting them plus the same for the venue (may be £20K fine) – along with potential for loss of their liquor licence/PEL and negation of insurance should any claim arise.....sobering stuff!
We can run the course over two weekends (Saturday and Sunday) so it does not intervene with peoples “day jobs” or during the week.
