One day intermediate extending baton course.

We are well aware that the carrying or use of batons in the UK is illegal but we still have a load of requests to run these courses for candidates who are working throughout Europe.

SOS Protection & Surveillance are NOT condoning the use or carrying of batons in the UK and anyone doing so does at their own risk.

The intermediate extending baton course is a lot more advanced than the basic course and goes into more depth about each topic and includes holds, take downs, cuffing and side arm retention which the basic course doesn’t.

The concept of Officer Safety in relation to Batons must be examined as a whole, to include Communication and Listening skills, Conflict management, Tactical Options, Defensive Tactics, Handcuffing skills, Incapacitates, Impact weapons and where necessary Firearm skills.
Our intermediate extending baton course is a constructive and progressive programme based upon these areas of officer public contact and will provide an officer with increased confidence, awareness and a comprehensive range of options when dealing with a violent and or potentially violent situation.  All training must be held at regular intervals and progress from basic to dynamic levels. Any reduction in training is false economy.
